Sydney Sandstone Ridge-Top Woodland
Found across exposed ridgelines and shallow sandstone soils, this community is defined by open woodland of scribbly gums (Eucalyptus haemastoma), red bloodwoods (Corymbia gummifera), and Angophora costata.
The understory is rich with banksias, heaths, and grasses, adapted to low nutrients and fire.
These landscapes feel airy and sunlit — resilient, textured, and deeply characteristic of Sydney’s bushland.
